Sherwood Observatory Public Open Evening
Saturday 8th October 2022 from 18:00pm to 22:30pm
Sherwood Observatory
Near Coxmoor Golf Club, Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, NG17 5LF
Join Mansfield and Sutton Astronomical Society members as they open their observatory for this popular open evening.
The event runs throughout the evening, with visitors split into groups, including a short presentation, observing through their huge 24-inch aperture self-made telescope, and joining members for a tour of the night sky and observing through their telescopes.
Families are very welcome, and these events are a great way to spend an evening even if the weather doesn’t play ball! Prior booking is essential.
