Norman Fisher Observatory at Kenley
Near Kenley Aerodrome, Kenley, CR8 5EP
Weather permitting, astronomers from Croydon Astronomical Society will meet at the RAF Kenley Tribute (approximately 200 metres from their Norman Fisher Observatory) from 9 pm on Thursday 12th August through to twilight the following day. A final decision with regards to the weather will be made late Thursday afternoon and posted on Society’s Facebook page.
If you do come overnight please remember that it is quite cold at 2 am even in summer so dress warmly and you may wish to bring a chair. Also, you may need a torch to see your way safely in the dark but please keep it pointed to the ground so it doesn’t affect other people’s night vision. Please note there are no facilities of any kind. There is nearby parking on Hayes Lane.
Please note that this event has already taken place on 12/08/2021
