See the Perseids at the Tan Hill Inn
Saturday 10th August 2024 from 20:00pm to Monday 12th August 2024 23:00pm
Tan Hill Inn
Reeth, Richmond, North Yorkshire, DL11 6ED
England’s highest pub, the Tan Hill Inn, is an ideal location to spot the peak of the Perseids meteor shower!
The Perseids meteor shower is well known for being particularly bright and active, and at its peak around 100 meteors an hour can be seen streaking across the night sky.
The best views are reserved for locations away from light pollution; dark skies enable fainter meteors to be spotted.
Tan Hill Inn is a recognised Dark Sky Discovery Site and has fabulous views all round, the perfect location for spotting shooting stars.
There is no organised stargazing event scheduled; overnight camping and caravans are welcome!
Please note that this has already taken place on 10/08/2024
