Bellingham Camp & Caravan Club Site
Bellingham, Hexham, NE48 2HR
Join astronomer Robert Ince and friends for an evening under the stars, and spot the Geminid meteors!
The campsite location is within the largest Gold Tier dark sky park in Europe. It has ‘Dark Sky Stay & Gaze’ and ‘Dark Sky Friendly’ awards from Northumberland Tourism for their efforts to reduce light pollution to a minimum and create the best conditions for observing the night sky.
The evening will comprise an introduction followed by night sky observing with the help of the experts and their telescopes, with a log-burning stove available in our Wansbeck House facility for warming-up breaks!
