Practical Stargazing at Monkton Combe Observatory
Saturday 5th August 2023 from 22:00pm to Sunday 6th August 2023 00:00am
Monkton Combe Community Observatory
Monkton Senior School, Monkton Combe, Avon, BA2 7JE
This members’ (and prospective members’) evening is intended to share the night sky in a convenient location. Members of Bath Astronomers run it. It is weather dependent, so you’ll need to check that the Social Media/website has been positively updated on the day to confirm it is running.
What can be seen during the session depends on the conditions. The event typically focuses on the Solar System before moving to deep space and the Galaxy.
Bring your binoculars and telescope if you have them. This is shared observing rather than guided observing, so you won’t be given a guided tour unless someone kindly volunteers their time.
Please reserve your free spot for this event via the Eventbrite website, and contact the Bath Astronomers if you have any questions.
Please note that this has already taken place on 05/08/2023
