Practical Stargazing at Monkton Combe Observatory
Saturday 20th May 2023 from 22:00pm to Sunday 21st May 2023 00:00am
Monkton Combe Community Observatory
Monkton Senior School, Monkton Combe, Avon, BA2 7JE
Bath Astronomers members are setting up telescopes for themselves and prospective members to come and look through and enjoy the night sky together for free.
Get your eyes used to the dark and try to spot the Milky Way arching overhead, or test your eyesight like ancient warriors by splitting stars.
Bring your binoculars and telescope if you have them. This is shared observing rather than guided observing, so you won’t be given a guided tour unless someone kindly volunteers their time.
Stargazing is weather-dependent, so book via the Eventbrite link, and you’ll receive an email to advise if it is cancelled.
Please note that this has already taken place on 20/05/2023
