The Hive at Nenthead
Nenthead, Alston, Cumbria, CA9 3PF
Join astronomer and science educator Andy Gray for an introduction to the night sky – including a look at the planets visible at the moment. Hopefully, there will be an opportunity (weather permitting) to view the stars through a telescope. There will also be the chance to see some meteorites up close!
Your ticket includes hot drinks, pie, chips and peas. Places are limited, so don’t leave it too late to book.
This event is aimed at people with a general interest in the night sky, including families with children (aimed at ages 7+). Bring warm/waterproof clothes/a torch (red light if you have one). No dogs, please – they are a trip hazard around telescopes.
This event is part of the North Pennines Stargazing Festival 2023, running from the 20th of October to the 5th of November, 2023. #NorthPennStarFest23 #NPennDarkSkies
