Description
NASA's Perseverance Rover (and Ingenuity Helicopter!) is due to land on Mars on the 18th February and we'd love you to join us for the historic moment. Enjoy a presentation not only about the red planet but also this incredible mission that will see a mini-van sized robot land at the target site of Jezero Crater.
We have purposefully timed this event so to include the NASA stream beamed live from Mars for this mission, a moment that we hope we can all witness together.
This event takes place as part of the National Parks Virtual Dark Skies Festival 2021, an annual celebration of the wonderful dark skies above the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors International Dark Sky Reserves.
Note that this online presentation can also be viewed LIVE and for FREE via the Go Stargazing public Facebook page (no Facebook login is required - you may need to refresh the page to see the "Watch live" button).
