Perseids Meteor Observing with Baker Street Irregular Astronomers

Perseids Meteor Observing with Baker Street Irregular Astronomers

Wednesday 4th August 2021 from 21:00pm to Thursday 5th August 2021 03:00am

Primrose Hill - London
Prince Albert Road, London, London, NW1 4RY

Join Eric Emms and the Baker Street Irregular Astronomers for an evening on Primrose Hill looking for Perseid meteors.

Meet at 9 pm at the gate on Prince Albert Rd, next to Ormonde Terrace, then walk into the park to view the Perseid meteor ‘shower’.

Look out for Jupiter as it rises in the SSE, half an hour after sunset, close to the bright star Capella.

Twilight does not fall until after 11 pm, lasting until 3 am, so there should be a few hours to bag early Perseids!

There is no need to bring any equipment – just something to sit upon and adequate refreshments to sustain oneself.
