Saturday 12th August 2023 from 20:30pm to 23:30pm
Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre
Hengistbury Head Nature Reserve, Bournemouth, Dorset, BH6 4EN, South West
Join the team from Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre for an evening of stargazing in collaboration with the Parks Foundation.
Streaking meteors, the Milky Way, and Saturn should all be visible at the annual Perseid Meteor Shower. Joining you will be Bill Coombes, a Licensed Radio Amateur and NASA Ambassador. Bill will bring radio equipment to help us detect and hear the meteors even if some clouds appear.
Bring a picnic chair or roll mat to relax, look up at the sky, and a blanket to keep warm. The cost for adults is only £2, and children under 16 go free.
Please note that this has already taken place on 12/08/2023
