Join members of Melton and District Astronomical Society for one of their regular meetings. These meetings often include a talk or presentation; however, being predominantly an observing Society, the priority is always to get outside and look up!
Andy Atterbury will be giving a presentation; ‘Broom Stars – Celestial Intruders’. What are comets and where do they come from? We will see some interesting observations of comets that were visible in the skies, through history and comets we have now visited with unmanned space craft.
Members bring an assortment of telescopes which visitors are welcome to use; this is an excellent opportunity for beginners to find out how to start their interest in astronomy.
Please note that this has already taken place on 24/11/2023
