Observing on Blackheath Common with Flamsteed Astronomy Society

Friday 4th October 2019 from 20:00pm to 23:00pm

Blackheath Common

Blackheath, London, SE3 0TX

Members of the public are invited to join astronomers from Flamsteed Astronomy Society for this one of their regular observing sessions on Blackheath. The team will have at least three telescopes available for viewings however if you have your own telescope you are welcome to take it along with you. If you are new to observing or need help with your equipment please arrive a little earlier (there will be someone there from 19:00).

Note that these events are weather dependent with a go/no go decision being made on the day -- if the weather is poor the event will move from the Friday night to the Saturday night weather permitting. The meet-up point is just to the North of Talbot Place with free parking after 6:30pm.

- This event is weather dependent and will only take place if the skies are clear enough for observing. It is therefore necessary to check the weather forecast and confirm with the event organisers that this event is going ahead.
