Bridgend and District Model Railway
Fountain Road, Aberkenfig, Mid Glamorgan, CF32 0EH
Join Bridgend Astro Society for this ‘free to attend’ event. Friday 12th sees the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower.
You may also wish to bring a chair, recliner, blanket or sun lounger to sit back and watch for shooting stars. There will also be the opportunity to view the Moon, Saturn and Jupiter using telescopes.
The venue for this event is the Bridgend Model Railway. The entrance gate is off the road, almost opposite Parc Slip Nature Reserve. Parking will be limited on-site; society members will guide you. If the car park is full, you may park on the grass verge outside the site or at parc slip car park. Please take care on the road if you park outside the site.
This shooting star event is free, and no prior booking is required! If you wish to donate to the society, a collection bucket will be available on the night – any funds greatly help us! Don’t forget to ask about membership!
Please note that this has already taken place on 12/08/2022
