North York Moors National Park: Our dark skies journey

North York Moors National Park: Our dark skies journey

Tuesday 1st March 2022 from 19:00pm to 20:00pm

Online event by North York Moors National Park

In December 2020, the North York Moors National Park celebrated their designation as an International Dark Sky Reserve status.

Join Mike Hawtin, our Dark Skies officer, who’ll rewind five years and share some of the key research and work involved in the process.

Thinking towards the future, we’ll discuss the importance of looking after our dark skies, including some of the actions and projects the National Park is currently delivering.

Plus we’ll cover what you can do as an individual to help save the night!

It’s a free, online Zoom meeting. The presentation will be 45 minutes followed by a 15 minute Q&A session with an opportunity for you to ask questions.

This event takes place as part of the North York Moors Dark Sky Festival 2022.

Please note that this event has already taken place on 01/03/2022
