North York Moors National Park: Our dark skies journey

North York Moors National Park: Our dark skies journey

Tuesday 25th October 2022 from 19:00pm to 20:00pm

Online event by North York Moors National Park

In December 2020, the North York Moors National Park celebrated its designation as an International Dark Sky Reserve.

Join Mike Hawtin, our Dark Skies officer, who’ll share some of the vital research and work involved to keep this critical status.

Looking towards the future, he’ll discuss the importance of looking after our dark skies, including some of the actions and projects the National Park is currently delivering.

We’ll also cover what you can do as an individual to help save the night!

It’s a free, online Zoom meeting. The presentation will be 45 minutes, followed by a 15-minute Q&A session with an opportunity for you to ask questions.

This event takes place as part of the National Parks Dark Skies Fringe Festival 2022.

Please note that this has already taken place on 25/10/2022
