Join us up at the North Pennines Observatory for a screening of Steven Spielberg’s 1977 masterpiece "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", in association with Allenheads Contemporary Arts. This classic sci-fi film was digitally remastered in 2017 for its 40th birthday.

After the film we will do some stargazing from the Observatory (weather permitting).

This event is taking place as part of the North Pennines Stargazing Festival 2018.

- Event includes an astronomy related presentation or talk.

- Event will involve stargazing and observing the skies through telescopes weather permitting
