North East London Astronomical Society Monthly Meeting

Everyone is invited to join the members of the North East London Astronomical Society for this one of their regular third Sunday of the month (except August) meetings which involve talks by guest speakers and sometimes films. During the winter months when darkness falls earlier in the evenings the group head across the road to the park with telescopes for observing and stargazing. A small fee is charged on the door for non-members.

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.

Midnight on the date shown is shown as a white line with sunset to the left and sunrise the next morning to the right. A black background with stars shows the best times for stargazing.
