Learn about the history of the telescopes at the Norman Lockyer Observatory including a short talk (with a different topic each evening), planetarium presentation, tour of the technology centre and observing using the observatory telescopes if clear. Entrance fee applies with no need to pre-book.

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.
