Norfolk Coast Dark Skies Festival 2023 launch event
Wednesday 4th October 2023 from 18:30pm to 21:30pm
Thornham Village Hall
Thornham, Hunstanton, Norfolk, PE36 6LX
The Norfolk Coast Partnership are delighted to host the launch event for this year’s Dark Skies programme at Thornham Village Hall.
Join us at this free event to learn more about the dark skies in your Norfolk Coast AONB and experience them for yourself. Immerse yourself in traditional coastal culture, discover the wildlife that comes out after dark and, of course, spend some time staring up at the sky during a guided tour of the galaxies. With a steaming cup of hot chocolate and a slice of cake!
Please arrive at 18:30 for refreshments and an opening performance by the Pot of Gold Shanty Crew.
We will also hear Norfolk tales by storyteller Jonathan Lambert, a talk by the King’s Lynn and District Astronomy Society about the “Journey Beyond Our Solar System to the Edge of the Universe”, and have an opportunity to take part in some Stargazing and other Dark Skies activities.
This event is part of the Norfolk Coast Dark Skies Festival 2023.
Please note that this has already taken place on 04/10/2023
