Learn more about the night sky above Burgess Park with a short presentation in Chumleigh Gardens and then practical observing and stargazing in the park. The event is being organised by the Friends of Burgess Park who have enlisted the help of two experienced astronomers, one of whom works for SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence)! Booking required!

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.
