September Presentation – Astro Asterisms & Lost Constellations by Les Fry
Join NAS Secretary Les Fry for a light-hearted talk exploring the many astronomical asterisms (both naked eye and binocular), and learning about some of the fanciful Constellations that have been lost in the mists of time.
Time will be allowed afterwards for a short Q&A session with Les.
We will then have a short social break for some astro chit-chat, a raffle and refreshments.
This will be followed by Dr Tony Cook’s regular “What’s happening in the month ahead” feature.
Newtown Astronomy Society extends a warm welcome to new members.
Membership is due now. Full membership fees are just £20/year for adults, with under 16’s at £10/year. (10 meetings per year), with visitor fees at £3.00 per person per meeting either in the Hall or via Zoom.
