Stargazing festival by Go Stargazing Administrator
The National Parks Dark Skies Fringe Festival celebrates the incredible dark skies above the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks, both of which are recognised Dark Sky Reserves as recognised by the International Dark Sky Association.
The fringe festival consists of various activities around the October half-term period and compliments the main festival in February.
Many of the events are ideal for families, and all are suitable for beginners and novices. From stargazing sessions to night walks, astrophotography tuition, nocturnal adventures, wellness and wellbeing, there’s something for everyone!
Go Stargazing is a keen supporter of the National Parks, helping to protect their dark skies and encouraging people to visit. We’ve featured the more practical events here, for a full list of events please see the Dark Skies National Parks website.
