Moon Palace: After Dark Observation Session at Farnley Hall Park
Tuesday 19th December 2023 from 17:30pm to 21:00pm
Farnley Hall Park
Hall Lane, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS12 5HA
Book your place for this after-dark moon gazing session with our onboard telescopes. An interactive experience that encourages great conversations on art, science and much more hosted by Artists and Astronomers over a cup of ‘cosmic’ tea! And if it’s a clear night, we may get lucky and see Jupiter’s moons or even Saturn’s rings!
Artists Heather Peak and Ivan Morison created Moon Palace; this new artwork and mobile observatory is inspired by the legacy of John Smeaton and the observatory he had in East Leeds. The project forms part of Leeds Year of Culture 2023.
