Wednesday 14th November 2018 from 19:30pm to 22:30pm

The Plough Inn - Two Dales
Wheatley Road, Matlock, DE4 2FF

Join the friendly and welcoming “MaDDOGs” Matlock and Darley Dale Observing Group for this one of their regular first Wednesday of the month observing sessions from their favoured location of the The Plough Inn at Two Dales.

Note this particular meeting has been moved to the second Monday due to Bonfire night.

These informal events are suitable for everyone from those just slightly interested in having a look through a telescope, who would like help setting up your own equipment or just want to come along for the company! The venue makes for an ideal location for socialising should the weather be bad!

Please note that this event has already taken place on 14/11/2018

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.

The below chart shows if and when the skies will be at their darkest during this event. Moonlight is shown in light yellow and the Sun's twilight in light blue. Midnight on the date shown is shown as a white line with sunset to the left and sunrise the next morning to the right. A black background with stars shows the best times for stargazing.
