Go on a Mission to Mars

Sunday 14th February 2021 from 18:00pm to 19:00pm

Awesome event for children! Colin Stuart is an astronomy presenter and author of a number of fantastic children's books on astronomy. Participants will be whisked away on a mission to explore the red planet! Learn how astronauts will cope with the 7 month journey, space food is hardly award winning!

As well as being incredibly fun and interesting it will also cover numerous topics for KS1 and KS2 children, so educational as well! Also expect mention of the landing of the Perseverance Rover (and helicopter) on Mars later this week. Perhaps you might consider purchasing Colin's book that compliments this event?

This event takes place as part of the National Parks Virtual Dark Skies Festival 2021, an annual celebration of the wonderful dark skies above the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors International Dark Sky Reserves.
