The historic Mills observatory is the first purpose-built observatory in Britain, with its sole aim to educate and encourage the public’s understanding of science.
The impressive sandstone building stands proud atop Balgay Hill on the outskirts of Dundee city centre.
The observatory runs a full event schedule throughout the year, of which most events are free of charge.
Join the experienced and friendly astronomers as they give you a guided tour of fascinating objects seen through their range of telescopes. An excellent experience for everyone!
