Plas Newydd Historic House and Gardens
Plas Newydd, Llangollen, Clwyd, LL20 8AW
As part of Welsh Dark Sky Week 2022, join us at Plas Newydd, Llangollen, as we set up a portable moth trap to see which nocturnal moths are present in the heart of the Dee Valley.
Learn how to identify some of these marvellous species, why we trap moths and how we can help protect them in our environments. During the evening, you can also try to build your very own bat box to help conserve our nocturnal wildlife.
Meet at Plas Newydd at 7 pm for session one and join us from 9 am the next day to discover any species trapped overnight at session two!
Wear warm clothing and sensible shoes. Suitable for ages 8+

Gwyfynod Gwych ac Adeiladu Blychau Ystlumod
Gosod trapiau gwyfynod gyda’r nos a chanfod gwyfynod yn y bore.
Fel rhan o Wythnos Awyr Dywyll Cymru 2022, ymunwch â ni ym Mhlas Newydd, Llangollen, wrth i ni osod trap symudol ar gyfer gwyfynod i weld pa wyfynod nosol sy’n bresennol yn Nyffryn Dyfrdwy. Dysgwch sut i nodi rhai o’r rhywogaethau rhyfeddol hyn, pam rydym ni’n dal gwyfynod a sut gallwn ni helpu i’w diogelu yn ein hamgylchedd ein hunain. Gyda’r nos, gallwch hefyd roi cynnig ar adeiladu eich blwch ystlumod eich hun, er mwyn helpu i gadw ein bywyd gwyllt nosol.
Ymunwch â ni o doriad gwawr drannoeth i ganfod unrhyw rywogaethau a gafodd eu dal dros nos!
Cwrdd ym Mhlas Newydd. Gwisgwch ddillad cynnes ac esgidiau addas. Yn addas ar gyfer plant 8+ oed
Mae’r digwyddiad AM DDIM, ond mae’n rhaid archebu ymlaen llaw.
