Everyone is invited to join the members of Loughton Astronomical Society for this one of their regular Thursday evening meetings which include a wide variety of different activities including a talk by a guest speaker, members presentations, observing through telescopes and solar observing throughout Summer.

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.
