Location description
Owl Cottage is a fabulously quaint and extremely cosy one-bedroomed traditional Dales Cottage situated on the edge of Middleton-in-Teesdale, in the Durham Dales.
Located in the quiet and peaceful North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty the location benefits from fabulous scenic views by day and access to the most amazing and fantastic star-filled skies at night. Of the 16 official Dark Sky Discovery Sites in the North Pennines AONB and UNESCO Global Geopark, 10 of them are in the Durham Dales, making this an ideal base for a stargazing break.
Guests are provided with stargazing equipment including, binoculars, red light head torches, stargazing maps along with a flask, folding chairs and blankets for a night exploring the dark skies.
