Hexham Racecourse makes for a superb stargazing location with clear unobstructed views and incredibly dark skies. Views to the South over the sparsely populated North Pennines are completely free from light pollution and the location is shielded from the worst affects from the nearby town to the North. It’s the perfect location to spot shooting stars especially when meteor showers take place! Easily accessible, plenty of parking and great facilities it’s an amazing place to visit for Go Stargazing events!
