Haldon Forest is a Forestry Commission property on the outskirts of Exeter. Its distance away from the bright city lights meets its free from most light pollution, and as such, the skies are incredibly dark during new moon periods. In early 2017 the park opened a self-led stargazing discovery trail. It’s a fantastic place for families to go and spend an evening away from the television and games console! Forestry England recommends the venue as an excellent spot for stargazing.
