Location description
Located on the North East coast this country park is surrounded by woods and meadows and features a large freshwater lake. It’s proximity to the beach means the skies above are dark and star-filled. Overnight camping is allowed with permission and by prior arrangement so for a short trip North from Newcastle makes a great stargazing getaway. The site is often used by Northumberland Astronomical Society for stargazing events.
