On Friday and Saturday evenings each month throughout the observing season (September through to March) members from Highlands Astronomical Society open the doors to their Jim Savage-Lowden Observatory to the public for observing sessions.

Note that the dates and times of these events are subject to change depending on weather conditions and the time of year. Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.
