The annual Isle Of Wight Star Party is popular with amateur astronomers who flock to the South-West coast of the island to enjoy the fantastic dark skies.  The event does not offer any formal help for beginners however there is always a friendly crowd and plenty of people willing to offer their advice and assistance.

- Event is a hosted at a dark sky location such as a remote campsite over several nights usually around a new moon when the skies are dark.
