Introductory telescope & family stargazing session at the Autumn Festival (cancelled due to Weather)
Saturday 21st October 2023 from 19:45pm to 21:00pm
Braes of Glenlivet Village Hall
Chapeltown, Ballindalloch, Banffshire, AB37 9JS
Want to give stargazing and astronomy a try? Join us in the Braes of Glenlivet in the Tomintoul & Glenlivet Cairngorms Dark Sky Park and have a go using our community telescopes. We’ll look at stars, planets, and constellations. If the weather isn’t favourable on the night, we will have a presentation and session in the Braes of Glenlivet Hall instead.
The Glenlivet and Tomintoul area is one of the best places in the Cairngorms National Park to discover the wonders of the night sky. It is Scotland’s second International Dark Sky Park and the most northerly in the world.
All ages welcome.
Please note that this has already taken place on 21/10/2023
