Introducing Astronomy with Rosliston Astronomy Group

Join members from Rosliston Astronomy Group for this one of their regular monthly “Introducing Astronomy” meetings. These events take place on the second Friday of most months (dates are subject to change). Members of the public can turn up to their first meeting for a small fee at which time they will be asked to consider joining the group so to attend future sessions. The event includes how to find your way around the night sky and help with telescopes and equipment as well as observing if weather conditions permit.

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.

Midnight on the date shown is shown as a white line with sunset to the left and sunrise the next morning to the right. A black background with stars shows the best times for stargazing.
