Join members of Huddersfield Astronomical Society at their observatory for an evening of stargazing and observing through their large 16″ aperture state-of-the-art telescope. Please check with the event organiser that this event is going ahead and is indeed open to the public (some of their events are tbc).

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.
