Havering Astronomical Society Open Day 2024

Havering Astronomical Society are holding an open day at Thames Chase Forest Centre, Upminster in Essex on Saturday 29th June 11am – 4pm. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the club, which was formed by members of an evening class.
There will be a mobile planetarium giving shows throughout the day, a demonstration explaining the colour of light and a workshop and display of astrophotography.
Lots of hands-on activities for children will include Make Your Own Solar System, Grow Your Own Universe and stomp rockets.
Safe solar observing with telescopes will also be available, weather permitting.
