Hampstead Grove, Hampstead, NW3 1DU
Join the enthusiastic team from the Hampstead Scientific Society for this one of their regular open evenings of their fantastic Hampstead Observatory. Lovingly restored and reopened in September 2019 the observatory is home to a 6″ Cooke refracting telescope built around the turn of the 20th century and, despite its age, offers truly amazing views of the skies above London.
Note that the observatory is only open when the skies are clear! Potential visitors are encouraged check the pinned post at the top of the Society’s Facebook page if the event is going ahead before setting off.
No booking is required for this event and there is no charge however attendees are asked to consider making a donation for what would undoubtedly be a memorable visit.
Please note that this event has already taken place on 25/01/2020
