Visitors are welcome to join astronomers at Guernsey Observatory for this open evening. The event includes a presentation and viewing through telescopes if the skies are clear. Donations to assist with running costs are welcome (suggested £2 for adults and £1 for children).

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.
