Saturday 30th April 2022 from 16:00pm to 20:00pm
The Lock Keeper's Inn - Lagan Valley
Lock Keepers Lane, Belfast, County Antrim, BT8 7XP
Green Space Dark Skies is a UK wide art project that invites people to experience beautiful landscapes at dusk between April and September 2022.
Everyone can sign up for one of a series of mass gatherings that encourage people to celebrate nature and humankind’s responsibility to protect it.
The gatherings will be created at dusk by participants, referred to as Lumenators, and guided along pathways or waterways carrying smart lights that will enable digital choreography captured on film while also being sensitive to the nighttime environment. These short films will be available to view online for free soon after each event.
This gathering will be in the Lagan Valley AONB on 30th April 2022 (TIME TO BE CONFIRMED). Please note that the location will not be the Lock Keeper’s Inn, the actual location will only be revealed to participants a few days before the event.
If you are interested in joining in, please book your free place in advance via the Green Space Dark Skies website. Places are limited and no spectators will be allowed.
Green Space Dark Skies, led by outdoor arts experts Walk the Plank, is commissioned by UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK, the groundbreaking UK-wide celebration of creativity in 2022. Lagan Valley photo credit: National Trust / John Miller.
Please note that this has already taken place on 30/04/2022
