For an incredible view of some truly dark skies, why not visit the easily accessible Isle of Gigha in the Southern Hebrides with its newly awarded Dark Sky Discovery Site.
This two-day festival will feature dark sky stargazing, a state-of-the-art planetarium, audio-visual presentations, a robotic telescope workshop, meteorites and more. The main event will take place in Gigha Village Hall.
No prior knowledge of astronomy is required for this event. Ferries run from the mainland hourly, and accommodation on the island is available. While here, why not explore the island using the new ‘Gateway to Gigha’ path network, which features stunning views in all directions.
Please note that this has already taken place on 18/11/2022
