From the Moon to Inifinity

Talk and stargazing opportunity at Alston Moor Golf Club – a truly dark site in the South Tyne Valley.
The event will be led by North Pennines astronomer and astrophotographer – Gary Lintern and supported by Michael Tweedy, previous Chairman of Sunderland Astronomy Society.
An indoor presentation will take place followed by the loan of quality binoculars to see the heavens from outside (so no need to bring your own) plus viewing through a 19-inch telescope.
Indoor activities will be available if the skies are not clear. Drinks (including teas and coffee) & biscuits (charges apply to bar drinks) will be available.
This will be a packed two hours suitable for beginners to amateur stargazers. Arrivals between 6.30 and 7 pm.
