Join members of Derby & District Astronomical Society for their monthly public observing session at their Flamsteed Observatory located within easy travel distance north-west from Derby. Events are weather dependent — please check with event organiser before visiting to confirm the exact location of their observatory and also the event start time which changes throughout the year.

Event darkness

The Moon has a big impact on the visibility of celestial bodies in the night sky. Try to plan your stargazing when there is no bright Moon at night as this is when the skies will be at their darkest.
