Enjoy a three-night stargazing break to Exmoor Dark Sky Reserve and experience incredible dark skies.

On arrival on Saturday afternoon enjoy a welcome cream tea and time to settle into your individually decorated en-suite room. Early evening meeting to go through the itinerary followed by a 3-course evening meal, and as the sun goes down, we will transport the group to Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on Exmoor.

On a clear night, we will have a stunning view across the Bristol Channel and an unpolluted view of Exmoor’s night Sky. We will provide a blanket (weather permitting) to relax and gaze at the stars from the vantage point at the top of the beacon.

Following a hearty English Breakfast on Sunday we will transport the group for a guided ½-day walk around the Tall Trees Trail boasting the Tallest Tree in England, and then on to Dunster for lunch and to explore the delights of the castle and Medieval village. After dinner, there will be a walk and talk with ESERO-UK Ambassador Jo Richardson FRAS to enjoy the spectacular display afforded to a Dark Skies reserve.

Monday will be a guided morning walk on to the moor in search of the Wild Red Deer and Exmoor Ponies, followed by time in Dulverton for Lunch and a stroll and then a visit to the Exmoor Pony Centre to take a closer look at these native wild horses. After dinner, we will take a closer look at the night sky with a second talk from Jo and a look through the telescope and binoculars, plus an Astrophotography Display.
