Dark Sky Festival presentation - choosing and using binoculars
Saturday 23rd September 2023 from 12:00pm to 13:00pm
Brecon - Libanus Mountain Centre
Libanus, Brecon, Powys, LD3 8ER, Wales
Binoculars are a hugely versatile and effective tool for those just starting stargazing and experienced astronomers alike. Many would advise beginners to start their stargazing activities with binoculars rather than investing in a more expensive and complicated telescope. Dr Andrew Lohfink is a binocular observer with many years of experience. In his talk he will explain how to choose binoculars for stargazing and demonstrate how to get the best out of them. A talk not to be missed for anyone wondering about the best route to start learning about the night sky by observing it.
