Dark sky stargazing returns to the Low Gillerthwaite Field Center, an incredible Dark Sky Discovery Site set within the heart of the Lake District!
Enjoy an afternoon and evening of astronomy-related activities, including arts and crafts, a star hunt and story-telling with hot chocolate. Then, with the assistance of the Cockermouth Astronomers, observe incredible objects, including the planets Saturn, Jupiter and Mars (weather permitting). If you have a telescope, bring it along, there will be plenty of people on hand to help.
Homemade soup, hot dogs and cakes are included in the suggested £5 donation for adults (children are free!). Accommodation is available on-site if you’d like to stay over.
A ticket is required for entry. For more information please contact the Warden, Ellen, on 01946 861229 or email [email protected].
Please note that this has already taken place on 22/10/2022
