Tuesday 21st January 2025 from 17:00pm to Wednesday 22nd January 2025 12:00pm
The Grand, York
Station Rise, York, North Yorkshire, YO1 6GD
Escape to the North York Moors and enjoy an unforgettable stargazing experience with your friends and family. Travel to a dark sky location and receive expert guidance from Astronomer Richard Darn, observing planets, nebulae and distant galaxies through a telescope.
For this event, join us for a deep-sky spectacular on a moonless night. This is the darkest time of year when the stars sparkle against an inky black backdrop. We’ll search for the Milky Way, distant galaxies, and fabulous star clusters and show you how to find them with binoculars.
This event can be booked just as an excursion from the hotel that includes a discount in “The Rise” restaurant. Alternatively you can book a package including two-course meal, overnight stay and a full Yorkshire breakfast before departing!
