Join dark skies expert Richard Darn and fellow astronomers for a special evening at Danby Lodge National Park Centre.
The great and ancient constellations of Orion, Leo and Gemini, will dominate our star party. The moon will be out of the sky, so we should also see many stars at the darkest time of the year.
We’ll have telescopes ready to reveal scores of celestial treasures, such as star clusters and even distant galaxies whose light has taken millions of years to reach us.
Plus, a brilliant indoor presentation will be perfect for stargazing novices wanting to learn more about our dark skies and why they are so special.
This event is part of the North York Moors Dark Skies Festival 2023.
