Washington Wetland Centre, Washington, Sunderland, NE38 8LE
Everyone is welcome to this public open evening of the Cygnus Observatory at the Washington Wetland Centre.
The observatory is open each Thursday and Sunday evening, and no prior booking is required. During the Summer months, weather permitting, it is possible to observe the Sun using special solar telescopes and the Moon.
Astronomers from the Sunderland Astronomical Society will be on hand operating telescopes and answering questions. If you have a telescope, bring it along for expert advice!
